UI - Client Delivery/Artworking
Client success that all started in the design room.
My main role during this time in my life was being in charge of client delivery design, we would receive a brief of the campaigns that the client would require. It was then up to us to deliver and then build these campaigns. We would either use imagery that the client provided or find our own from the client’s site. The colours and fonts would be inline with their style guides or from the client’s website to maintain a level of consistency that would give the end user a uniform journey. I would begin these designs using Photoshop and then code the emails in HTML and the overlays in HTML, CSS and Javascript. Clients that I have created campaigns for in the past include, Wolverine (as seen above), Boots, EE, Three, Hearst Magazines and WeightWatchers.
My role transitioned over the years to managing designers in my team ensuring that they could deliver the required campaigns for the client and to ensure that if they had any questions in regards to builds, I would be able to guide them through that process. I would also be in charge of managing workloads within the team. This was valuable experience as I would learn a lot about managing expectations and time-management. During my time, I was also given the responsibility of managing projects from start to finish. Once I received a brief from a project manager, I would then liaise with them and developers to make sure the project tackled every problem on the brief, so that the client got exactly what they asked for. You can see some more examples of my work below.
My Furniture
One of my favourite clients to work for was My Furniture. You can view my work for them below. We had created campaigns for them in the past. They then had a rebrand which included an updated website. We had to give them a refresh across all of their campaigns, which was a very exciting task at the time. I created the new look for their campaigns and was able to present them directly to the client at their offices. This was my first face-to-face client meeting where I could get across my ideas. The client was very receptive to my new designs and it was a great experience hearing directly from the client about their needs and their processes. I was able to use this new knowledge across most of my work from then on.
